Absolutely no experience necessary to have a great day fly fishing with us.
Trip information
Half day trips are around 4 hours of fishing and can be done at any time, morning or evening. Half days are ideal for beating the hot summer heat or chasing an evening hatch when most of the other traffic is off the river. This trip usually runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rods, reels, and all terminal tackle included. Half day trips do not include lunch but do include bottled water.
Boat Tours, see the White River and beautiful scenery in a relaxing boat tour. We cover many different sections of the river and encounter many different species of wildlife including Bald Eagles. Boat tours are about 2 to 3 hours in length and bottled water is provided but your welcome bring your preferred beverages along with you.
Three quarter day trips are a great option if a full day is a little to long and a half day is a little to short. Just like a half day trip we can move this around to any time of the day that best suits your needs or the rivers current release status. These trips are around 6 hours long. fly rod, reels, and all terminal tackle included. 3/4 trips do not include lunch, but you are welcome to bring along anything you need.
Full day trips are around 8 hours on the water. This is our most popular trip, running from around 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This trip gives you the best advantage and opportunity for catching fish. As with our other trips, the time slot is flexible and can be tailored to the weather, generation schedule or to fit your needs. Rods, reels, tackle, lunch and bottled water included.
Your guide will contact you about 24 hours before your trip to plan your trip. We must wait until we can see weather and water conditions to make the best decision on timing and river location to provide you with the best experience.

Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for you on the river, your goal is our goal, that can be the serious angler looking to catch a fish of a lifetime or a relaxing day on the water fishing. We will adapt our approach to fit the needs of the angler.
The White River offers great fishing year-round with windows of excellent dry fly fishing.
Caddis- March through May
Sulphur mayfly- June through July
Terrestrial- June through October
Kids as young as 10 years have had great success with fly fishing even on their first day. We recommend half day trips with young children that do not have any experience with fly fishing. Most children do learn quick and have a great time.
Had the opportunity to take an 8 hour trip with Chris on May 23, 2026. Directions to the boat ramp were clear with ample parking. Chris offered instruction many times throughout the day, while always being cheerful and concise. His knowledge of the river was exceptional. I really thought it neat that he stopped the boat to see the eagles. Overall, it was a great day with great conversation, instruction, and fishing. I hadn’t cast a single hand fly rod in many years, his instructions and enthusiasm brought me back to casting successfully in a short time. Chris is a great guide and runs a great program. I intend to fish with him again. Would recommend Chris to anglers of any skill level. Fantastic! -Nathan M.

Beard Bros Fly Fishing is led by Chris, a passionate angler from Greenwood, Mississippi. With a lifelong love for fishing, he discovered the art of fly fishing and quickly turned it into more than a hobby. After relocating to Yellville, Arkansas in 2019, Chris found himself captivated by the vastness of the White River, a challenge he embraced.
