What do I need to bring with me?
Arkansas fishing license and trout permit are required; the rest are optional but highly recommended.
Weather appropriate clothing, lightweight and breathable on warm days and waterproof and insulated layers on the cool days.
Any medicine or medical supplies needed.
Any snack or drinks you want during the day other than water. (no bananas please)
Do I need any experience?
No, you do not need any experience with fly fishing. If you have never fly fished before, the guides will give you a short 15–30-minute instruction and practice lesson at the beginning of the trip and you will be fishing in no time. Most new fly fishers have a great experience on their first trip. We do recommend a 3/4-day trip at minimum for anglers with no experience to give ample time for learning and catching fish.
It is supposed to rain, will the guide cancel my trip?
No, we fish in rain, sleet, snow, and wind. We do not fish in severe weather, you guide will monitor weather before your trip and may recommend changing times, your guide may cancel or reschedule your trip if the weather conditions will not improve.
If you encounter lightening while on the water, your guide will immediately move to the safest location nearby.
